This video was created for a project during a course in my M.A. in Professional and Technical Communication. In this project, I was creating a screencast video using Camtasia to act as a quick start guide to accomplish basic tasks in a chosen piece of software. I decided to make a tutorial for making a screencast-style video in Adobe Premiere Pro to highlight some of the basic editing and effects features of the software.
The video is 150 seconds long and outlines basic tasks such as creating a new project, placing and timing media on the timeline, and using basic effects to change the size and position of media elements in the video. It was designed to be able to help first-time users become more familiar with some of the fundamental features of Premiere Pro, by using plain language and clearly explaining tasks in a step-by-step format.
